BO'NESS 20 MINUTE TOWN ACTION PLAN

Save the date for our consultation events and activities

Jules Ryan, partnerships and pathways coordinator for Forth Environment is developing a community climate action plan for the town of Bo'ness this Winter! The plan will utilize the 20-minute neighbourhood framework to see if this concept can be applied to a semi rural location such as Bo'ness. It is hoped that this plan will be used as learning resource for similar towns and communities across Scotland as we collectively work to make our local environments vibrant and sustainable places to live, work, and play in.

The survey is the first step in identifying areas of opportunity within Bo'ness and gaining a deeper understanding of how residents use and view their community. Jules will be hosting a series of in person events throughout the Autumn and Winter months so stay tuned to our social media platforms for upcoming dates.

If you happen to be in the town centre on Thursday the 14th of October, why not pop into the Bo'ness library and have a chat with Jules, she'll be there from 10am onwards ready to hear your views, ideas and opinions. Jules will also be running a pop-up stand on the High Street on Saturday the 16th of October from 11am and she'll have lots of freebies to giveaway so come along and have a chat.

Living Proof, Film Screening at Bo’ness Hippodrome, Thursday 4th November, 7.30pm 

We’ll be supporting Bo’ness Hippodrome for COP26 with fun and interactive activities to inspire the climate actions we can all take now. There will be a bit of everything; active travel, reuse, food and growing and volunteering to accompany the special film screening of “Living Proof”, a film exploring this country’s relationship to the global climate crisis, through film and music.

after the screening join us for an audience discussion with a guest panel of individuals seeking and supporting a positive, local response to the Climate Emergency.
